Before your first appointment
Wear or bring clothing you can move in, so your chiropractor can assess and adjust the area properly. If you’re coming in for an ICBC claim, have your claim number ready. If you’re using extended health benefits, bring your plan details so the clinic can check direct billing.
What chiropractic care costs
Pricing varies by visit type and can change, so the most reliable place to see current rates is the online booking page. What you pay depends on whether it’s an initial assessment or a follow-up, and whether it’s billed through extended health or an approved ICBC claim.
If you’re being treated under an approved ICBC claim, there is no out-of-pocket cost for your covered visits.

Questions about chiropractic care
The East Vancouver clinic, at 5334 Victoria Dr in Victoria-Fraserview, is the one taking appointments. The second Movement Room clinic at 2337 Main St in Mount Pleasant hasn’t opened yet, so it has no hours and takes no bookings. If Main Street is the location that suits you, the waitlist is how to hear when it opens, and East Vancouver can see you in the meantime.
No referral is needed to book chiropractic care in British Columbia. An appointment can be arranged directly with the clinic. Some extended health plans still ask for a physician’s note before they will reimburse chiropractic visits, which is a rule set by the insurer rather than the clinic, so it is worth reading the wording of your plan before the first visit if reimbursement matters.
Chiropractic is one of the treatments ICBC funds once a claim has been opened, and Movement Room can bill ICBC directly with your claim number. For extended health, we direct bill Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and Green Shield where the plan permits it. Where a plan does not allow direct billing, the receipt issued after the appointment carries the registration and clinic details insurers ask for.
Chiropractic focuses on the spine, joints, and nervous system, often using hands-on adjustments and mobilizations to restore movement. Massage therapy works on soft tissue directly, and physiotherapy leans more on assessment, exercise, and rehab planning. The three sit alongside each other at Movement Room, and which one to book first depends on what’s going on — a practitioner can redirect you between them without starting over.
Most adjustments are not painful. Some people notice a popping or cracking sound as a joint moves, which is normal and not a sign of anything breaking. Mild soreness for a day afterwards, similar to unfamiliar exercise, can happen but should stay tolerable.
