Yves Liu
Yves Liu holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Tzu Chi University, Taiwan, along with a Graduate Certificate in Sports Medicine from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He furthered his studies with a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine) from Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Canada.
Yves is a registered physiotherapist with a unique background and a passion for helping people move and recover. Born in Taiwan and raised in Vancouver, he studied in both countries and is fluent in both Mandarin and English—making it easy for him to communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Yves has experience in many areas of care, including orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, home health, and sports physiotherapy. He’s committed to staying current with the latest research and techniques, and has completed additional training in long-term care, traditional Chinese medicine (including acupuncture), IMS/dry needling, sports nutrition, and sports medicine. His ongoing learning helps ensure each patient receives up-to-date, effective care.
In the clinic, Yves focuses on manual therapy, active rehab, and therapeutic exercises, creating personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s goals and lifestyle. He takes a holistic approach to care, combining treatment
with education and prevention to support long-term health and recovery.
Yves stays active with badminton and gym workouts. He loves exploring new travel destinations and is always on the lookout for great restaurants (and dessert locations). When it’s time to relax, you’ll find him soaking up the sun at the beach or unwinding with a good show or movie.
Yves is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
