What Should I Expect on my First Appointment?

At Movement Room, your first visit begins with a warm welcome from our friendly reception team, who will assist you with check-in and any necessary paperwork before introducing you to your therapist.

Your therapist will begin with a comprehensive assessment, which includes reviewing your medical history, analyzing movement patterns, and addressing your concerns. This assessment may involve:

  • – Posture analysis
  • – Range of motion assessments
  • – Special tests
  • – Functional assessments

Following the assessment, your therapist will provide hands-on treatment to help manage your pain and improve movement. Before you leave, they will discuss a personalized treatment plan to support your recovery.

To make the most of your visit, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing any relevant medical documents.

What Should I Wear to My Appointment?

Our clinic is designed with movement in mind, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Since we assess your movement in every session, it’s essential to wear attire that enables us to analyze how your body moves.
 

Where Can I Park?

We offer complimentary designated parking spots at the back of the building. Additionally, street parking is available along Victoria Drive.

Intake Process

Most of the intake process is completed before your appointment. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email to fill out your medical history for your initial visit.

If you have extended health benefits, please bring a piece of photo ID and your insurance card so we can bill your provider directly.

We accept most insurance companies, including Pacific Blue Cross, Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Green Shield, ICBC, Worksafe BC, and more.
